True Confessions- Peanut Butter is My Weakness

This is an ongoing confession………….meaning, that it’s been happening for a while and it is still continuing to happen.

I like to eat crunchy peanut butter on a spoon.  Straight out of the jar.  I can usually stop at two tablespoons, but sometime I cannot resist temptation, especially on days that I run.

Spoonful after glorious spoonful after glorious spoonful.  Don’t worry, I keep “my” jar separate from the rest so as not to contaminate everyone with my germs.

True story confession.

PS- Why was the guy on the treadmill next to me today at the gym wearing cologne?  Why oh why oh why?  Why did he feel the need to put it on BEFORE a workout maybe his gym clothes were already stinky? And why did he feel the need to put it on so heavily that I could SMELL HIM as I worked out? Thank goodness it smelled good- HA!

True Confessions

Last night, I had all intentions NOT to snack in the evening.

Then my friend Julie showed up to watch The Bachelor with me.

She brought this with her.

All my good intentions flew right out the window.  Doritos are my weakness (peanut m&m’s are too).  As long as it is not in the house, then it is very easy for me to resist them.  However, if Doritos should ever appear in my house, my resolve and good intentions no longer exist.

After inhaling most of the bag, with Julie’s help, I made her PROMISE not to bring them over again.

And that folks, is MY True Confession.

True Confessions

I drank two margaritas on Saturday night.

I ate two hot dogs and too many Doritos to count on Saturday.

I ate a turkey hamburger and sweet potato fries on Sunday.

I drank massive amounts of coffee.

I have eaten about 6 pieces of Halloween candy and two cupcakes.

I ran for 35 minutes straight (that means no stopping) this morning.

I love my children but man oh man, keeping up with them and all that they need and all that they do exhausts me.

I am so tired tonight that I can barely keep my eyes open.

  1. I have not counted my WW points in over two weeks.
  2. I have had ice cream for the last 3 nights in a row.
  3. It was delicious!
  4. I am steering clear of alcohol of all kind and have been since the start of this challenge.
  5. I am keeping up with my 5K training – are you?
  6. I ran for 20 minutes straight today.
  7. My arms are sore.
  8. My legs are sore.
  9. I think I might never walk again.
  10. BUT I RAN FOR 20 MINUTES STRAIGHT!

True Confessions Monday- Lisa

  1. This weekend was my son’s baptism.
  2. We had 19 people from California, Arizona, and Kansas attend.
  3. The last three days have been been pure eating and drinking decadence.
  4. Chips and dips. Queso. French Onion. Salsa. Guacamole.
  5. BBQ.  Chicken.  Sausage.  Brisket.
  6. Spanish rice.  Beans.  Enchiladas.
  7. Margaritas, margaritas, and then some more margaritas.
  8. The earliest I went to bed was last night- and that was at 12:30am.
  9. The other three nights were 2:30am, 2:30am, and 1am.
  10. My kids still woke at the same early time.
  11. I weighed myself this morning.
  12. I have not weighed myself since our last weigh-in.
  13. I have gained, obviously : ).
  14. I am back on track today.
  15. I am going to drink TONS and TONS of water to flush the salt out of my body.
  16. And eat right.
  17. No more chips and salsa.
  18. No more margaritas.
  19. No more eating just because it is there.
  20. Bring it on.

True Confessions Monday- Lisa

  1. My fingers are swollen like little sausages.
  2. Could it be due to the fact that I have been inhaling  Doritos like the world is about to end?
  3. Nah.
  4. Or maybe because my “friendly” visitor is well, visiting?
  5. Nah.
  6. My heart hasn’t been into eating healthy and exercising since we ended the last challenge.
  7. I need these challenges to keep my motivated and pumped up and excited.
  8. Right now I just feel BLAH.  And gross.  And chubby.
  9. I shopped for a bathing suit in record time yesterday.
  10. What fun it is to shop for a suit when you are 20lbs (more like 30lbs) overweight.
  11. I am going to visit our very own Christy this week.
  12. I leave in just a few hours- yippee!
  13. We plan to swim (hence, the need for a bathing suit), cook good food, scrapbook, laugh until our sides hurt, chit chat and stay up way too late.
  14. Sounds fun, huh?
  15. I so badly want to lose more weight.

True Confessions Monday (Lisa)

Yes, I realize that today is Tuesday but I very badly need to “confess”.

  1. I am in an exercise funk.
  2. My last day to SHRED was Thursday.
  3. I have not shredded since and I have no desire to.
  4. I put my exercise clothes on this morning in hopes that by wearing them, I would feel motivated to shred.
  5. I do NOT.
  6. I am afraid that I will lose all the rewards from my first time shredding.
  7. But still, I do not shred.
  8. I drank A LOT this weekend.  All those empty calories.
  9. I was out of town from Thur-Mon.
  10. My eating choices were not the best.
  11. Surprisingly, if the scale was right this morning, the damage isn’t as bad as it could be.
  12. My house is a shambles and my “to do” list is longer than my arm.
  13. I need to take a deep breathe and just plug away until I get a handle on things.
  14. That could take all summer.
  15. I need to turn my frown upside down.
  16. Typing that phrase did the trick.

True Confessions Monday- Lisa

  1. I am STILL shredding.
  2. I did Day 1 of Level 3 yesterday and TODAY, my body is so sore.
  3. That’s OK.
  4. IT means that I am working it out.
  5. I have been doing pretty good with the eating aspect of losing weight.
  6. BUT, around 10pm most evenings, I have this insane craving for crunchy peanut butter.
  7. Crunchy peanut butter is my weakness, my kryptonite.
  8. Is it because my body is needing the protein?
  9. That surely must be it.
  10. Or because I JUST like crunchy peanut butter?
  11. I also caved this weekend and had a few glasses of wine.
  12. My husband and I received good news but stressful news.
  13. And so I caved and drank red wine.
  14. I don’t feel particularly bad because it calmed me down, it tasted good, and you know, it’s OK to indulge once in a while.
  15. Right?

True Confessions Monday (Lisa)

I missed True Confessions last week…where was I?  Probably shredding!  Anyway, here are my true confessions, boring as they may be.

  1. Last week, I had horrible snack munchi cravings in the evenings.
  2. I gave in almost every night to those cravings.
  3. Except for last night.
  4. I ate dinner at 5:30pm and then only had an orange in the evening.
  5. I really wanted to eat a whole bag of Doritos.
  6. Why do I love Doritos so?
  7. I have been “shredding” with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred exercise DVD now for 14 days.
  8. I am beyond sore, but I feel awesome for sticking with it.
  9. Sometimes I love Jillian and how she is shredding my body.
  10. Most times, I don’t.
  11. I really would like to add in some additional cardio later in the day, after shredding.
  12. BUT, I am so low on available free time.
  13. I’m going to try and make that extra cardio happen this week, at least a few days.
  14. I really really really really really want to lose at least 25 lbs.
  15. Like, yesterday.

True Confessions Monday (Lisa)

I realize that Monday is more than half over- sorry!  Time slipped away from me. 

Here are my confessions….

  1. My baby is 6 months old and 16lbs 12oz. 
  2. Oh where does the time fly?
  3. I have been fairly good with watching what I eat.
  4. Except for yesterday at my cousin’s BBQ.
  5. I ate TWO hamburgers.
  6. They were divine.
  7. However, those burgers were really small so the meat alone was really only one burger.
  8. Am I in denial?
  9. I am back in exercise mode.
  10. I try to make it to the gym, but if that escapes me, then I do the Wii Fit at home.
  11. I originally thought Wii Fit was for sissies.
  12. After two rounds with that bad boy, I have changed my mind.
  13. My body is so sore, especially my arms from “boxing” and everything else from strength training and yoga.
  14. Who knew?
  15. I really hope to have some kind of loss this week.
  16. Maybe I should starve myself today and tomorrow?!
  17. NAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
